1. 1. Les bourses de l’Ambassade de France

Deux types de bourses sont attribués par l’Ambassade de France au Cambodge :

- Les bourses de Master ou équivalent (diplôme de grande école ou d’école d’application), de 9 à 24 mois suivant la durée de la scolarité.

- Les bourses de Doctorat, de 3 à 27 mois, qui peuvent s’étendre jusqu’à 3 ans sous la forme de trois séjours dont la durée dépend des besoins de la recherche.

The PhD project:
Title: The South Korean Investment boom: an opportunity for Cambodian entrepreneurship?
Description: This project is an exploration into the benefits, opportunities and/or threats of foreign investments for the emergence of an embedded economy in Cambodia. These
investments are integral part of a total package of agreements between the Cambodian and South Korean governments including trade deals, waiving of visa requirements and Korean aid and loans. The South Koreans invest in Cambodia in search for markets and cheap labor and their investment patterns represent an embedded approach generating opportunities for local businesses.

DAAD Master’s Scholarships for Nationals of Cambodia for August 2010

For the August 2010 intake, the DAAD is going to offer up to eight scholarships for applicants from CLMV countries to pursue a Master’s degree at the AIT. The scholarship award covers tuition and other academic fees, and living allowances for a 22-month program. The scholarships value is THB 937,800 per scholarship holder, divided in THB 480,400 for the first year of studies (12 months) and THB 457,400 for the second and last year (10 months). Application deadline is 31 March 2010.

2010 BATCH OF UNFPA SPECIAL YOUTH PROGRAMME FELLOWSHIPS

UNFPA will recruit six young people to be Special Youth Fellows from 1
April to the 31 December 2010.

The Special Youth Programme fellowship consists of an initial 4.5
months fellowship at UNFPA Headquarters, New York, followed by a
continued fellowship of another 4.5 months in the UNFPA Office in the
country of the fellow.

Objective:

This programme is designed to give young people from developing
countries opportunities to engage in policy development and
programming; to help build the capacity of young people; and to
sensitize both young people and UNFPA staff on partnering to address
adolescent and youth issues.

PhD Scholarship at the University of Auckland, New Zealand

The project “Algebra for User Interface Customization” at the Department
of Computer Science of the University of Auckland (http://www.auckland.ac.nz/) is looking for a PhD candidate.
