Miss Normandie Malika Menard, a 22-year old student from Caen, was crowned Miss France 2010 during the annual gala held in Nice, France, on December 4th.
Menard, who stands 1.76 m tall, was crowned by outgoing titleholder Chloe Mortaud, who is currently participating in the Miss World contest in South Africa. Mortaud got a 24-hour pass from the pageant so she could fly to her country to crown her succesor.
The 1st runner-up was Miss Rhone-Alpes, while the 2nd runner-up was Miss Bretagne. The beauties from Provence and Quercy completed the honor court as 3rd and 4th runner-ups, respectively.
The new Miss France will compete in the Miss World and Miss Universe pageants in 2010. One of the runner-ups will represent the country in Miss International.
