DDD is now seeking qualified candidate to fill the position of Software Development Manager to be based in Phnom Penh.
Summary
The software development unit at DDD supports the core operations via utilizing cutting edge technology in order to provide reliable and cost-effective technology solutions. As the manager of the software development team, you will lead the members in delivering multiple, complex projects for an internationally acclaimed organization. The position is held as a senior manager position within DDD, you would be a leader in the company providing insight on strategy, new technologies, and how to position the software team to align with DDD’s overall goals. The SDM position will expose you to the highest levels of the organization – CEO, COO, board members and involve you in decision making for the future growth of DDD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage software projects through all phases of the project from pre-sale to maintenance and support
- Supervise and mentor the development of junior and intermediate developers
- Coordinate with other department across the three offices in Cambodia, Laos and North America such as Sales, PMO, Operations, etc… to perform technical projects and identify the needs for technology solutions on a regular basis
- Lead the research initiative on digitization technologies and tools within DDD services and recommend appropriate tools and solutions
Essential Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in CS, EE, or Computer Engineering, advanced degree a plus
- 2-4 years of experience in programming and leading software development projects
- 2+ years experience with managing small teams
- Technical Skills:
- Web-based technologies with .NET, Java, PHP, Ajax, NUnit, CruiseControl, Nant, XML, MS SQL, MySQL, Version control with Sub Version or others, Issue tracking with JIRA
- General Skills
- Ability to establish priorities, manage others’ time, lead multiple projects at one time, solve complex problems on projects with difficult deadlines while keeping stress levels of team members low, be a self-starter and self-directed, and wanting to work in a social enterprise environment
- Strong desire to work at an organization with social mission a plus
- Ability to work under pressure, commit to excellence and self-highly motivation
- Proficiency in written and spoken Khmer and English
