The Calostoma Insigne is a kind of mushrooms we found in Phnom Tbeng (ភ្នំត្បែង) which situated in Preah Vihear province in CAMBODIA. We can find it also in others countries of Southeast Asia such as Malaysia and Indonesia.
We found the mushroom in the forest during our hiking at Phnom Tbeng in September 2024. It was rainy season. We walked from Thmor Bey Dom pagoda to Taing You waterfall which is about 20 Kilometers. Along the way, our guides led us to the shortcut and luckily we found the mushrooms.

There are 2 colors of Calostoma Insigne mushroom, white and orange depended on the decayed leaves they grow in rainy season. We eat this mushrooms raw. But we have to clean it well. Our guide cleaned it in waterfall.
